From their newest album, Girlhood, this song is fun, upbeat, and catchy. A collaboration between front-woman Isabella Manfredi and Darug songwoman Jacinta Tobin, the song speaks of discovering a different world when stepping outside of one’s comfort zone and Manfredi’s connection with her hometown of Sydney, Australia. The song name “Yanada” means moon in the Indigenous Sydney Australian Dharug language.

The powerful music video explores Australia facing the truth about its history and creates a narrative of two best friends, one Aboriginal and one not, exploring the world within the dark depths of a river.

The band has worked with experts in Australian Aboriginal culture to ensure that their song and accompanying music video pay the proper respect to the Indigenous Peoples of their country.
